Introduction to mental skills

Many sports coaches and players will say sport is 80% above the shoulders. This is true with competent players. Until players become consistent and more advanced technique and basic skills are more important and deserve the focus of the player. When a bowler reaches a higher level automated performance will ensure that the bowls delivery is consistent and reliable most of the time. Playing well in championship or any competitive situation requires a positive state of mind with the ability to think clearly under stress.

The key parts to effective and match winning mental skills are;
